Anxiety

Anxiety is normal and present in everyone's life, especially now with the current environment.   Anxiety is your brain's way of reacting to stress and alerting you to potential danger.  While everyone feels anxious now and then, if it is constant then it can interfere with normal functioning in life including problems at work, home and with family.  You can get help with your anxiety and panic by reaching out to a trained therapist.

Depression

It is normal for people to experience a wide range of emotions over the course of days, weeks or months. Typically these vary based on events and circumstances that we experience.  Sadness is a normal emotion.  When we suffer a loss, we grieve. Normally these feelings ebb and flow and will respond to input and changes. Depression tends to feel heavy and constant. People who are depressed are less likely to be cheered, comforted or consoled.   If you or a loved one are suffering from depression, please reach out to a professional for help.

Life Transitions

Life transitions are periods in life that involve change.  Change can be more difficult for some people and can increase stress levels.  When in a life transition, it can be very painful and emotional.  Some people describe a feeling of being stuck.  If you are feeling stuck from a life transition, it might be a good time to reach out and speak to a therapist to manage these life transitions.

Stress Reduction

Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension.  It can be caused by any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is your body's reaction to these events or thoughts.  For short periods of time stress can be a positive experience and help get things done, but it can also become negative when it is experienced for long periods of time.  Untreated and ongoing stress levels can create physical and emotional issues that are unhealthy.  We are here to help you deal with the stress in your life.

Anger Management

Anger can be a good thing. It can give you a way to express negative feelings, or motivate you to find solutions to problems. But excessive anger can cause problems.  Anger is often a "cover up or surface emotion" that is sometimes used to hide  other feelings such as fear or sadness.  If you are looking for healthy ways to manage your anger, please contact us.

Mood Disorders

A mood disorder is a condition that severely impacts mood, performance and relationships.   Mood disorders describe a broad term that's used to include all the different types of depressive and bipolar disorders.   If you have symptoms of a mood disorder, your moods may range from extremely low or depressed to extremely high or irritable.  We are here and ready to help you manage your mood swings.
